Chevrolet introduced the 6th Generation 2017 Camaro 1LE at the Chicago Auto Show back in February. They introduced the car in a color called Krypton Green as a concept color. Reception of this very bold color was overwhelming. Enthusiasts are asking Chevrolet to make this color on the Camaro after seeing it grace the 1LE car.
This weekend at the Camaro 50th Anniversary festivities, Cheryl Pilcher, Camaro Product manager confirmed to Chris Frezza of CamaroShow.com that this color is a go! A limited production run this spring will be done for the 2017 Camaro. Asked if this color would be available for ZL1, the answer was “to be determined”. Yea!
For the first time, the 2017 1LE performance package will be available on Camaro 1LT or 2LT coupes equipped with the 3.6L V6. Featuring more aggressive suspension tuning, standard Brembo brakes and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, the LT 1LE delivers an estimated 0.97G in cornering grip. For LT coupes, the 1LE package features the Camaro SS’s FE3 suspension, while the 1SS benefits from the ZL1’s electronic limited-slip differential and FE4 suspension with Magnetic Ride dampers.
